Micropigmentation

What  is micropigmentation?

Micropigmentation, commonly known as permanent cosmetics, is the process of inserting colored pigments just beneath the skin's surface. The insertion of color reaches only the papillary layer of the dermis. It is putting the right color in the right place so you can look better naturally.

Benefits of Micropigmentation

  • Time saving vs. applying makeup every day.
  • Sensitive skin or allergies to conventional cosmetics.
  • Helps individuals with difficulty applying makeup.
  • Aging changes in brown, lips, eyes.
  • Active, outdoor lifestyle.
  • The Natural Look - if you like natural "no makeup" look.
  • Hair loss from alopecia, chemotherapy, accidents, burns or cosmetic surgery.
  • Color correction - scar camouflage, breast areola loss or scars.

Is micropigmentation painful?

On a scale of 0-10, you will usually be somewhere between a 0-3. Topical anesthetics are utilized to numb the area and to prevent discomfort.

Is it safe?

Any allergic reactions to permanent cosmetics are very rare. The pigments are made from natural ingredients. For each procedure disposable sterile needles and surgical gloves are used. Micro-pigmentation is a skin invasive procedure, so it is very important to consult professional technician who is licensed and qualified to perform these procedures.

How permanent is micropigmentation?

Permanent makeup is considered permanent because the color is implanted just beneath the skin's surface and cannot be washed off. Micropigmentation lasts for a long time (between two to five years), but not forever. Fading can occur and periodic maintenance is required to preserve color.

 Is micropigmentation a smart investment?

Your investment in permanent makeup saves you time and money in the long run. Retouches are required every couple of years to keep your makeup looking fresh. Investing in permanent makeup is not necessarily intended to replace cosmetics completely, but it will significantly eliminate ritual daily time spent on applying your makeup.

How long will the procedure take?

Usually it takes between 1 to 2½ hours depending on the area of application. A follow-up /touch-up session four to six weeks after, is included at no cost, and should take less time.
